Salt Lake City, Utah

We arrived in Salt Lake in the evening on Tuesday and since Charles had to work until later that night we decided to explore the city on our bikes. We parked near the Mormon temple, took our bikes off the rack and started to ride through the downtown area of the city. As we expected the temple was beautiful but what made the moment even better was when we overheard the Mormon Tabernacle choir practicing in the Conference Center.

From downtown we made our way down a couple blocks to meet up with Charles’ friends for a concert. Although we felt a bit out of our element with our fanny packs and dressed in biking gear, we thoroughly enjoyed the music and had a lot of fun. Just as amazing as the music though was a man spinning clear platefuls of color die and oils to create a psychedelic background for the performers.
