Zion National Park

We had an amazing stop on our way to Salt Lake today at Zion National Park. My friend Sally had told us to try and stop there and we are so glad we did! Once we entered the park we stopped by the visitor center, filled up our water bottles and mapped out our route. We were only able to spend a couple hours there since we wanted to head back out on the road, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We rode our bikes down a nice paved path that followed along the Virgin river which had gorgeous views of the mountains and rock formations. At the end of the path we stopped by the river and ate some snacks before heading back toward the car. Between riding our bikes in Vegas and then being able to ride along the path in Zion, we both agree that a road trip with bikes is a million times better than a road trip without bikes. If you want to be able to see a lot of an area in a reasonable amount of time and for free, then biking is the way to go!

Once we got back on the highway to head towards Salt Lake, we were able to stop at the Kolob Canyons which is the north part of Zion. We took the scenic drive around the canyons and this part of the park impressed us even more than the first part. For those who want to see Zion but are on a tight schedule, I would recommend just taking the scenic drive around the Kolob Canyons.
