Tip #6 – Some may call if theft…we call it being resourceful

Since we have decided to not pay for ice the rest of the trip, we were unhappy to hear that Charles did not have an ice machine at his place in Salt Lake, so we went on a mission for free ice. Knowing that most hotels offer free ice to their guests, we found a Hilton close by, grabbed our empty ice bags and went in. In order to not look too suspicious we walked in and gave a friendly smile to the front desk hotel clerk. On our way to the ice machine we saw a table set up with free coffee and tea and we saw yet another opportunity to be resourceful. We filled our bags of ice, put them back in the cooler and then headed back inside for some free coffee and tea. We had previously chosen the Hilton because of its proximity to Starbucks, but now there was no need to spend $3.50 on a latte.
